Alamy publish the revenue figures regularly, but I can’t find any estimate of their market share. Getty have roughly 35%, Corbis have 25%, AP 5%… and I think Alamy is around 5%.. but anyone know a clearer estimate?
With these two piece of information, I’m hoping to work out the total size of the market in the UK… But if you know that specifically, I’d appreciate it.
Total market shares are pretty difficult to analyze, but even if the estimate is slightly off, it can still be useful.
I would just look at Alamy’s sales (revenue) compared to Getty or Corbis’ revenue. Since you know the market shares of those other companies, Alamy’s market share can be derived.
For example…
revenue of Alamy’s / revenue of Corbis = N / .25… then just solve for N.

Let’s say I want to know how much market share % "The Gap" has in the apparel industry or even where does McDonald’s place in ranking among fast food chains. Is there online references on this kind of stuff?
You can search yellow pages and local Stock market magazines.

Please help me out in this true and false question !!
New entrants into the market often cut a monopolistically competitive firm’s market share and lower the price elasticity of demand for the firm’s products ?
TRue or False
thanks everyone!
Of course it’s true. If they charge dmore than the competition, how would they get any business? They have to charge a lower price to attract business, which causes the competition to try to match it.

I am in thinking about setting up a wedding planning business but obviously need to do some market research first. I’ve tried contacting several venues holding wedding fairs to ask if I could talk to some brides at their events but haven’t got anywhere. I have thought about catching brides coming out of bridal shops but I don’t think these shops would be very happy with this if they found out! Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi
There are so many ways to obtain the information you require, the only issue is what is your budget?
You could arrange small parties like the "Ann Summers" where everyone is relax and not in a rush to go somewhere.
Depending on your budget, you could use research companies.
I wish you all the best with your research and your business.
Kind regards
Al

I graduated with a degree in marketing and want to begin a career in market research. I have applied for entry level market research jobs with no luck. I have taken market research and consumer behavior classes in college, but have no work experience in market research. Does anyone know of some ways I can get experience in market research to make me a more appealing job candidate?
You can apply for co-op or work for free for 3 months with a market research company. The idea is to give yourself an opportunity to gain experience and let your skills shine and prove to the company that you are the right candidate to be hire for this role.

My task is: BLOG ANALYSIS: Create a list of 25 blogs that are publishing content
related to this niche market (bathroom tiles).
Google analysis will help with that i think.

I’m currently a high school junior and I’m looking at potential college majors. As of now, I’m very much interested in the world; I want to travel with my job. (Not all the time, though.) At the same time, I want to work for an international company, maybe like a cosmetics company.
What would this career be called? International marketing?
What other careers would match this description and how would I go about obtaining the right degrees?

Hi, well i want to start stock buying/selling. Is there any articles, books, videos anything, that i can watch that can give me a overview of what it is, how its done. Any beginner type instructions etc. Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers
My library had a book
"Investing for Dummies"
It was not for dummies – it clearly explained everything.
I still don’t understand options since it didn’t go too deep into that.
If you don’t have a library get a good book from your bookstore.
