For investment in share market from where I should start ?

I am totally unknown to share market.

Hi RK,
Always go for Long-Term investments. Avoid day-trading. Its worse than gambling. AND TWO IMP. RULES
1- NEVER EVER BORROW MONEY TO PUT IN SHARE MARKET
2-PUT THAT MUCH MONEY IN SHARE MARKET WHICH YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE.

Giving below are few good & free blogs from which you can decide which shares to buy.
Remember UNLESS AND UNTIL YOU FALL IN WATER, YOU CANT LEARN SWIMMING.

Download some ebooks from internet, do some google:

    1. 25 Rules of trading.
    2. Mark Crisp – 7 Habits Of A Higly Sucsessfull Trader
    3. Daytrading University – Advanced Daytrading Two-Day Seminar
    4. Daytrading University Trading Course
    5. Guide To Effective Daytrading-Wizetrade

This will give good trading techniques and trade setups. If you are able to find "Day Trading University" books then you are lucky, they have the best trading books in the world.

    also few inputs
    1. you cannot continuosly be a winner. you lose some and you gain some.
    2. do not focus on day trading. do investment for long terms.
    3. do not focus on one sector. diversify.
    4. understand why are you buying that share and decide the selling target before hand

You should start from IPO (Primary market ) from where share market itself gets started

It is a good starting point to realize that you would have to learn the ways of the stock (or share) market.

It would be both prudent and appropriate to start with reading a few good books on "investment analysis & portfolio management". I would recommend:

Security Analysis by Graham & Dodd
The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham

Of course, you may also consider doing a search on your prefered search engine for a further selection of suitable books. You may find resources at Amazon useful.

    Sincerely,

    Akash
