what is market trend now? is it cansolidating? or still down trend?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

my feeling is we are in a bear market for most of the stock market, I would not be buying right now.

But as with anything else you hear, this is an opinion and not necessarily a fact.

But I did sell $750,000 in stock 10 days ago…If I had that stock today, it would be worth $700,000
I intend to sit on the cash for a while…probably til sept.

Because of the boom in the house market awhile ago why didnt people see a down trend coming?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

People were buying homes they might not be able to afford in the future at a higher rate so whats the big deal???

Maybe some people weren’t clear about the dramatic fluctuations that would occur in the rate. I think the lenders have a responsibility here as well. Also, it’s human nature to be optimistic about the future.

Can overseas stock market provide a clue of the next day in wall street?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Its incredible how some foreign indexes follow the US stock market trend, for example the Emerging Markets Index has the same pivot points as the S&P 500.

But, can the previous day in overseas stock markets, that traded when Wall Street was closes, provide some clues of the next day in the US?

Sure. I would say there is some correlation there. But that correlation may be related to a simple up or down trend, not a total return or dollar weighted return. I would also suspect that if there is say a big move up in Europe, and you tried to buy at the opening bell, your order might not get processed a the opening US price. So on paper US Index ABC went from 1000 to 1080, looking like easy money, but if the opening sale price is 1080 then you would have only made money if you had bought the index the day before. And of course you did not know the Euro markets would be up.

What is the best way to market a dog walking business? I moved to an area where not common trend?

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

There is not any dog walking businesses where I moved to. I feel it’s prime opportunity to jump on the idea here. I originally started where I used to live. I would like to do the same thing in my new resident location. I put up fliers everywhere in mail boxes. Any other thoughts? I was thinking about contacting the veterinarians to see if they would be of assistance in referring their clients to me.
Advice appreciated!

Identify your target market, flyers are canvasing everyone and probably a waste of time. You need to find dog owners that are career minded. Vet relationships will help you build credibility. Look at an ad in your local business journal or meet w/ HR at large companies and offer their employees a discount. Offer referal fees to your new clients. Word of mouth will be your strongest plan. Work out an affiliate program with your local pet store. Get a simple 3 page website and trade banner ads.

should i believe indian stock market trend go upper in a short period?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Anyone answering this question is only making a guess as no one can predict how the market will turn during short term.

But for long term the analysts/economists are mostly correct as their predictions are dependent on the data and analysis and not guess work.

Good luck.
